Senior DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our team at Berkeley Compute. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud environments, networking, orchestration tools, and Linux systems.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain development and production cloud environments
- Manage and optimize network services
- Utilize orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Maintain uptime and security of critical systems. Design and deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Implement and enforce best practices for identifying bugs, migrating changes, and setting up new projects
- Enhance functionality of existing orchestration systems
- Create prototypes for new application functionality involving server setups
- Debug issues in orchestration systems
- Set up new servers and create automation and CI/CD pipelines
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of Linux systems
- Strong understanding of security
- Familiar with cloud architecture, data center architecture, hardware, storage, networking, GPUs
- Strong experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in networking
- Expert-level knowledge of orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Experience with automation and CI/CD pipeline creation
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to create and maintain documentation for systems and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications
- Strong GPU experience, NVIDIA tooling
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
